St. George Weekend

During the Spring semester of school I was getting a little down with the both of us always being in school, working tons, and spending hardly any time together. I also knew that we only had a two week break together before Trevor started up the Summer semester and then our sweet little baby will be here. Because of this I knew we needed to get away together before the Summer semester started. It didn't take much convincing on my part either, and we set up a weekend away together to St. George.

About a week ago it was finally here and time for us to get away, down to some nice weather and relaxing together. It was a great weekend to be able to spend together relaxing, eating tons of food, mini golfing and shopping. My sweet, amazing husband spoiled me and the little baby tons while we were there. About a week before going to St. George I was finally starting to not fit into any of my clothes and knew it was finally time I start wearing maternity clothes. I did not take this realization very well either, not fitting into any of my old clothes. But I am too excited and anxious to meet this little girl of ours to even care. Anyways, Trevor spoiled the both of us so much. And the cutest part about it is he enjoyed every single second of it. He sure does love his two girls!

We both had a great time together in St. George. We enjoyed spending every single second together without any stresses of work and school. The weekend went by way too fast though and we were sad to have to come home. It was a nice final get away together before our baby makes her arrival!

Jackson Hole Trip

Over the weekend my family took a trip up to Jackson Hole. My little brother, Cade, will be leaving on his mission in the next few months and wanted to take a family trip before he left and before the rest of us started school again. My step-dad has a cabin in Star Valley, which is about an hour and a half outside of Jackson so this seemed like the perfect place. We left on Friday morning and came home on Sunday.

After we got to the cabin on Friday we drove up to Jackson Hole and spent some time walking around and exploring. I really wanted a picture in front of the arch made out of antlers, so I was so happy we had time to get one.

Also on Friday night we went to Bar J Wranglers. This was a cowboy style dinner with a cowboy, western show afterwards. It actually was alot more fun than any of us were expecting it to be.

My family waiting for the show to start
Saturday was probably my funnest day of the trip. We woke up bright and early Saturday morning and drove back up to Jackson. We were all going white water rafting down the Snake River. I was really nervous for this at first because the last thing I wanted to do was fall in the river. Because we went so early in the morning the sun was not up long enough to warm anything up, so the water was FREEZING!! Also we had an odd number of people, 7, so I volunteered to not help paddle the not boat not knowing I would be straddeling the front of the boat as my seat on the raft. But after going over the first raft I realized how much fun it was and ended up laughing the entire way down the river. We all had a blast and talked about it for the rest of the trip.

Outside of our cabin is a lake that is full of leeches and the bottom of the lake feels like feet of mud on the bottom. After we got done rafting on Saturday we were all outside talking and throwing things in the lake. My brother TJ decided to stand on this dock that was not built very well at all. After placing one foot on the dock he realized it was not very stable at all. He then decided to spread eagle on this dock to try and equalize his weight over the dock. However, that did not help the situation at all. He ended up falling in the lake, loosing is glasses and breaking his flip flops. We all were laughing, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen! The only thing I regert about the whole thing is that I didn't have my camera with me at the moment and didn't get a picture of any of it.

This was the perfect trip to go on for one of our last family vacations, with everyone there, for awhile. We all had fun and were able to laugh and enjoy our time together! My mom did a great job planning the entire vacation.
