Raptors Game

On Saturday night me and Trevor went with my family to the Ogden Raptors baseball game. I am not a big baseball fan; however, Trevor is a HUGE baseball fan. He has been playing baseball since we was a little boy, all the way through high school. I knew that he would love being at the game. He could not take his eyes off of the game, and I think he was getting a little annoyed with me because all I wanted to do was talk. But he was super nice to explain things to me and still talk to me while watching the game.

We all had fun together at the game, and I actually found myself enjoying the game. The only complaint I have to make about the game is how hot it was. We were all sweating to death! However, we did leave the game early, because we had dinner reservations, so I do not know what the final score ended up being. But by the way they were playing when we left I can only guess that the Raptors won!

First Day of School

Well today marked the day that me and Trevor started school again, although a 2 week break from summer to fall semester doesn't really seem like we ever stopped.

Me and Trevor are both attending Weber State. I have about a year left until I graduate with my degree and Trevor, well lets just say he has awhile until he is done. We both have a full schedule with work as well and won't be seeing much of each other anymore, but we will make it through. We are excited to get going with school because that just means one less semester for us! Wish us luck as we try to survive this semester of school.

Jackson Hole Trip

Over the weekend my family took a trip up to Jackson Hole. My little brother, Cade, will be leaving on his mission in the next few months and wanted to take a family trip before he left and before the rest of us started school again. My step-dad has a cabin in Star Valley, which is about an hour and a half outside of Jackson so this seemed like the perfect place. We left on Friday morning and came home on Sunday.

After we got to the cabin on Friday we drove up to Jackson Hole and spent some time walking around and exploring. I really wanted a picture in front of the arch made out of antlers, so I was so happy we had time to get one.

Also on Friday night we went to Bar J Wranglers. This was a cowboy style dinner with a cowboy, western show afterwards. It actually was alot more fun than any of us were expecting it to be.

Saturday was probably my funnest day of the trip. We woke up bright and early Saturday morning and drove back up to Jackson. We were all going white water rafting down the Snake River. I was really nervous for this at first because the last thing I wanted to do was fall in the river. Because we went so early in the morning the sun was not up long enough to warm anything up, so the water was FREEZING!! Also we had an odd number of people, 7, so I volunteered to not help paddle the not boat not knowing I would be straddeling the front of the boat as my seat on the raft. But after going over the first raft I realized how much fun it was and ended up laughing the entire way down the river. We all had a blast and talked about it for the rest of the trip.

Outside of our cabin is a lake that is full of leeches and the bottom of the lake feels like feet of mud on the bottom. After we got done rafting on Saturday we were all outside talking and throwing things in the lake. My brother TJ decided to stand on this dock that was not built very well at all. After placing one foot on the dock he realized it was not very stable at all. He then decided to spread eagle on this dock to try and equalize his weight over the dock. However, that did not help the situation at all. He ended up falling in the lake, loosing is glasses and breaking his flip flops. We all were laughing, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen! The only thing I regert about the whole thing is that I didn't have my camera with me at the moment and didn't get a picture of any of it.

This was the perfect trip to go on for one of our last family vacations, with everyone there, for awhile. We all had fun and were able to laugh and enjoy our time together! My mom did a great job planning the entire vacation.

Fire and a Movie

On Sunday night Trevor's family got together and his aunts house to roast marshmallows, hotdogs, and watch a movie. I love Trevor's family and am so happy that married into it. We always have a blast when we are together and laugh the entire time. After we ate some food and it got dark, we watched Soul Surfer outside on the projector. I loved Soul Surfer and thought it was a great little movie; however, Trevor didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But I would recommend it for sure to everyone!

I love summer nights and am so sad to see that they are coming to an end so quickly. In just 2 short weeks school will be starting again, which I am not ready for one bit. I just wich summer could last for at least another month. I will miss summer nights like these with family!

Work Summer Party

Trevor, myself, and my little brother Cade all work for America First (well at least Trevor did until Saturday). On Saturday night they had our summer work party at the Rocky Mountain Raceway. I was not particurally excited to go to the party but Trevor and Cade both wanted to go, so I decided to tag along. Cade also decided to bring a date with him, Cherri. She is adorable and a ton of fun to be with. Although I didn't want to go to the party at first, it turned out to be an absolutle blast! The "figure 8" races were my favorite by far. Just watching those cars cross and almost hit each other at unbeleivable speeds made my heart drop to my stomach, but it made for a very enjoyable show!

They also had a raffle going on between all of the races, and they had tons of great prizes! Trevor and I really really wanted to win, but we are probably the most unlucky people on the planet, well besides Cade that is. They called the number before Cade's ticket and after Cade's ticket, he was a little upset about that. However, Cherri did win! However, we almost missed her ticket being called. We decided to leave and go home and watch a movie. Well, while we were walking out of the park Trevor heard them calling raffle ticket numbers again and decided we probably should stop and listen, he REALLY wanted to win. Well lucky for us that we did stop because we heard Cherri's number called. However, because we were almost out of the park by that time, Cade had to run to the other end of the park to claim her prize. She won a $50 gift card to Boondocks. Congrats Cherri!

Thanks America First for a great night! We all had a blast!
