Pumpkin Craft

I recently have been ridiculously addicted to crafting blogs. I love looking and them and getting all sorts of ideas! The girls that have these crafting blogs are very creative and talented ladies. I love the ideas that they come up with.

With Trevors new job at the pharmacy he has been working alot more hours and until 9 o'clock at night. So I tend to me home by myself alot more than I like to be. And although I could do my homework that entire time he is at work, it gets really boring. So I have decided that I am going to start doing some crafting projects from these blogs that I reguraly stalk.  A couple weeks ago I found the cutest pumpkin, made out of a book, on a blog called Creations by Kara. She created this book page pumpkin that I feel in love with and new I needed to make. So on Friday night when Trevor was at work I made this pumpkin...

I love it and loved how it turned out! I loved it so much that I also made one for my mom. Its the cutest little pumpkin and I am so happy with it!

Elder Cade Ty Jones

My little brother, Cade, got his mission call on Wednesday! It was a fun and exciting day. We both worked that day together and the entire day he was freaking out about his call. He was so nervous, yet excited and he wanted to know where he would be serving for the next 2 years.

Right before opening his call
Cade was really nervous to open his call, as you can tell in the above picture.  He was called to serve in the Scotland/Ireland mission.  He will be preaching the gospel in the english language. Cade will also be leaving on January 19th, to the England MTC.

I can't beleive my little brother is leaving on his mission. Me and Cade do alot of things together and have for our entire lives. He is one my best friends and I will be so sad the day he leaves for 2 whole years. However, I am so proud and happy of the decision he has made to go and serve the Lord and preach the gospel. I know he will be an amazing missionary and will love every single second of it.  I also know that 2 years will go by very quickly. Congrats Cade!!

Big Changes

Well it's finally offical that me and Trevor are moving!!

Oct 10 is the day that we have decided to pack up and move. We will be moving to Layton and will be living in a basement apartment. Although we love our house right now, because it's not an apartment or anything, we are exciting to move and experience new things together. There are alot of reasons why we are moving, but we know this will be the best thing for us right now. Also Trevor is way excited because our new apartment will be alot closer to his work. But now we get to pack up all of our things and start this process of moving (which I 100% hate!). We are right in the middle of school so its making for some stressful days. But our family is amazing and are helping us out tons! Pictures of our new apartment to follow later.

Family Birthday Party

Every month my family gets together to celebrate everyone who has a birthday that month. On Sunday we celebrated September birthdays. I always love getting together with my family and eating the wonderful food! This month instead of just celebrating the birthdays and eating food we played "Minute to Win It" games. It made for some good laughs and alot of fun! The family favorite game was the tennis game, where you had to use baking sheets to make a paper ball into the trash can.

The ones who didn't want to play...

Val looked funny trying to do this with his cast

Trevor is such a good photographer

My cute cousins Carly & Millie
Family parties are always fun and I am so glad that my family decides to get together every single month. Its always good to see everyone!

Girls Night

On Friday night me and all my girlfriends from high school got together. We knew we all needed to get together because all of our lives are changing so much over the next couple of months, so this was our one chance to see everyone for awhile. Both Sadie and Michelle will be leaving on their missions next month. Sadie will be going to Peru and Michelle is going to Mesa, Arizona. Kristal just headed back to BYU Hawaii. And everyone else to scattered throughout the rest of the state going to school. We all got together at Sadies house, and just hung out and ate food. We also decided to make a video of us talking about past girls nights and our lives at this moment. We are going to watch the video in 10 years and see how things have changed in our lives, and how we have changed. It will be fun and interesting to watch I think.

All of us around the food table!

It was really good to see everyone and I am really sad that I won't be seeing alot of these girls for a long time! But it will be fun to catch up and get together over the years. We will all be friends for the rest of our lives!

Anniversary

Today is mine and Trevors 11 month anniversary. Which means that we have exactly 1 month until our 1 year anniversary. I can't beleive that it has already been almost a year! It has been the best year of my life!!

Me and Trevor a little bit ago decided that we would take turns planning our anniversary's.  We also decided that one of our gifts to each other would be one of the traditional gifts of that anniversary year. So this year its a paper gift, and also my turn to plan our anniversary! Let me just say that I have the hardest time keeping secrets from Trevor, so this has been very difficult to keep from him. What makes it even more difficult is that I am so excited for it!! But I am determined to keep this a secret from him until October 8. So... Tune in next month to find out what his AWESOME gift will be and what I have planned for our 1 year anniversary! Its going to be pretty sweet!!

Labor Day Weekend

We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. Or I guess I did since Trevor worked every single day of the entire weekend. But we were able to squeeze some time in there to spend together and with our families. On Friday I was asked by my aunt and uncle, Colleen & Val, to watch their three little kids: Hunter, Carly, & Braxton. Their kids are like little brothers and sisters to me, or I guess I should say more like neices and nephews since I don't have any yet. But I love their kids so much and me and Trevor watch them alot. So when I was asked to watch their kids I jumped at the chance. We had so much fun together that night! We decided to go swimming in their pool, so my little brother Cade decided to come over and join us. I got my camera out to take some pictures and the kids went CRAZY! They were doing all sorts of tricks for me to get a picture of, I probably took 30+ pictures that night. Here are only a few...

Braxton, he was crazy on this slide

On Labor Day, Monday, Colleen & Val had a BBQ/Pool Party at their house. So it was back to the pool for me again! Trevor, sadly, had to work on Labor Day so didn't get to enjoy the day as much as I did. He still got to come over after he got off work and swim with the little kids, which he loved. Ever since me and Trevor were dating he has had such a good relationship with Braxton. They always joke and play together (It is because of Braxton that Trevor wants a kid so badly). So I was happy that Trevor got to come and swim for at least a couple of hours.

I love the holidays and love that I always get to spend them with family. I just wish I was able to spend a little bit more time with Trevor over Labor Day weekend. However, he is loving his job right now and that I am very happy about and as long as I get to see him for a few hours on the holidays I will be ok!
